First Day Ministry The purpose of First Day Ministry is to come along side churches and help them fulfill "The Great Commission." First Day Ministry is a mission’s organization that is passionate about getting the church to the mission field. Once in the field, First Day uses its teams in order to not only share Christ, but to ensure people get plugged into a local church and receive on going discipleship.
First Day ministry also exists to educate, equip, and encourage local pastors. Providing a training environment that the pastors have an opportunity to receive a seminary type education, in order to more effectively share the gospel. Dr. Levi Skipper Levi Skipper is a native of Georgia graduating from Shorter College with a Christian Ministry Degree in 2000, New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary with a Masters of Divinity Degree in 2004, and Luther Rice University with a Doctorate of Ministry Degree in 2009. He met his wife Christa while attending college and they married in 2000. They have four children Garrison Levi, Mattie Eve, John Gavin, and Marlee Rose. Levi has served as a student pastor, college pastor, and pastored a growing congregation before launching out with First Day Ministry. Dr. Skipper currently lives in mountains of north east Georgia and pastors Concord Baptist Church in Clermont. Levi is the Founder and Chairman of First Day Ministy. Michael Edwards Michael Edwards has lived in Georgia for most of his life and is a graduate from Kennesaw State University with a degree in Business Administration and Entrepreneurship. He met his wife Ashley on a blind date in 1998. They have 2 children Zac and Juliette. Michael has worked in the corporate world for over 15 years before discovering Gods calling for his life. Michael has lead many international mission trips and continues to plan and coordinate trips for local churches. Michael Edwards currently lives in Dallas, GA and is the Director of Missions for First Day Ministry. Michael also serves as a Trustee for the North American Mission Board (NAMB).

Hurt Road Baptist Church "In October 2011 I was able to go with First Day Ministries to Ethiopia. Although it was not my first foreign mission trip, it was a wonderful experience, and an ongoing blessing. Four people from our congregation also attended, and for all of them it was a life altering trip. Every detail of the trip was pre-arranged prior to our arrival and it made for a very smooth, event free, trip. As a Pastor I was able to minister in my area of expertise and they were flexible to allow the others in our party to do the same.
