Go.......I will show you where!

Ephesians 3:20 says, “Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us.”
God’s ability + our willingness = God working more than we could imagine or ask.
I figured if you are going to start a blog about being willing to let God use you, you should start with the father of faith.
Genesis 12:1-3 says, “Now the LORD said to Abram, "Go from your country and your kindred and your father's house to the land that I will show you. And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed."
It is hard to imagine. Put yourself in Abram’s shoes. God says “(Insert your name here) go to a place I will show you.” What does that look like? Would you get on your bike, or in a car, or airplane? It seems like an impossible decision, but Abram had his obedience grounded in faith- Faith that God would be with him, protect him, and show him the promise land.
Think for a moment about how one decision had such a huge impact on the rest of Abrams life. Abram and his wife Sarai had a son, Isaac, who had a son, Jacob, who had 12 sons, which led to the 12 tribes of Israel and the nation of Israel. God has a plan for each of us, no matter your age. Abram was 75 when God called him. All you need to do in order to start is to be open to the Holy Spirits prompting in your life.
Abram was willing and through God’s ability, God made Abram the father of many nations. God worked in Abrams life far more the he ever thought or dreamed!

It;s amazing how God works. Often times what we think we are going out to do for Him turns into something quite different than what we were expecting. We must be flexible in our journey, sensitive to His leading and prompting! Thanking Him for allowing us the opportunity to be a part of His amazing plan!
God is the same today as He was then - and still capable of doing the same thing today that we read about in the Bible - the difference is us. We have not because we ask not. We are too busy trying to do things in our own power - instead of relying on God - trusting him to move us in his own time for his own glory.
I agree with this blog of faith; God leads us to greatness if we follow in faith.
